Akiko Mik combines songs, electro/acoustic composition, performance- and visual art.
Akiko Mik is a composer and vocalist from the Netherlands. She creates electro-acoustic works that blend experimental pop, electronics, and contemporary art music. Her compositions often merge song forms with structured compositional frameworks and explore the coexistence of movement and stillness. Akiko frequently collaborates across disciplines to create an immersive experience. With her wide interests she also produces and sings her own songs/compositions and composes music for film and media.

“Voiced Void” is a piece for 3 performers walking around with speakers, recorded voice and percussion instruments. The spoken text is conceived as an inner monologue that repeats but each time in different forms.
